PTZ 2.0

PTZ camera controls in Spot AI have been fully redesigned to be faster, more intuitive, and more powerful. Here's everything that's new.

New Ways to Move Your Camera

You now have three control modes to choose from. Pick what works best for you:

  • Click to Center — Click anywhere on the live feed and the camera instantly moves to center on that point. Perfect for quickly chasing something on screen.

  • Joystick — Drag in any direction to pan and tilt. How far you drag controls the speed. Fluid, natural, and fast.

  • Arrows — The classic d-pad controls, still available if you prefer them.

Scroll to Zoom

Hold Cmd (Mac) or Ctrl (Windows) and scroll to zoom in and out — no more hunting for a zoom slider. Keep your eyes on what matters.

Visual Presets

Presets now show a thumbnail of each saved camera view, so you always know exactly where each preset points before you click it. Adding a new preset captures your current view with one tap.

Patrol Mode, Now in Spot AI

You can now set up and run Patrol Mode directly in Spot AI, without needing to log into your camera's native configuration. Choose which presets to patrol, set how long to dwell at each stop, and start or pause patrol with just a click.

Patrol Mode is available on most PTZ cameras. It is not currently supported on Axis cameras.

How to access

Open any PTZ camera in Live View with the Low Latency toggle on. Then click the PTZ button on the bottom right of the video player. The new control panel will appear automatically on the right side of the screen.
