Once you've verified your equipment, the next step is to install your cameras and physically connect the cameras and the Spot AI IVR.
Install Cameras
If you are integrating your existing cameras with the Spot AI Dashboard, please proceed by physically connecting your cameras and Spot AI IVR. If you have any questions about the installation process of your new Spot AI Cameras, please see our step by step Bullet and Turret Camera Installation Guide.
If you are not comfortable installing your own cameras, reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or Account Executive (AE) and we can connect you with a preferred installer in your area. If you have an installer in mind or prefer to find one on your own, you are also welcome to do that.
Physically Connect Spot AI IVR and Cameras
The Spot AI IVR needs access to both the internet and your camera network in order to function. There are a variety of ways to accomplish this, each with it's own requirements. Understanding Spot AI Recommended Network Topologies lists the three types of network configurations that Spot AI suggests for best performance. In all cases, the power cable needs to be connected to the power port on the back of the IVR, and at least one ethernet cable connection is required to any of the available ethernet ports on the back of the IVR. Please choose whichever one will work best for your organization. If you are using a firewall to increase security on your network, please make sure that everything listed in our Upstream Firewall Configuration Information article is given appropriate access.
SPOT recommend AGAINST deploying the Spot IVRs with publicly accessible IPs. Also, for 64 channel server IVR units, do not connect to the MGMT port unless instructed to do so by support.
